The Definition of DVD

First of all, there is a little better if we examine what exactly is meant by DVD. DVD comes from the Digital Versatile Disc. As its name suggests a DVD is a digital storage medium whose contents are very varied. 

The shape is very similar to CD. The difference can play DVD movies, audio better and with more data and processes faster than a CD.DVD is also capable of storing other data such as photos or data information from the computer.

In the DVD there are two very important parts of the format, namely Physical Formats (Physical Form) and Application Format (format of application). What are meant by physical format are DVD ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD + R / RW, and DVD-RAM. This format has advantages and disadvantages of each.

While the definition is the application format, DVD video is called DVD-too-then there is the so-called DVD Audio, DVD Stream Recording, and there are also so-called Super Audio CD (SACD). In addition there is also special application formats used for games such as Sony Play-Station 2 or Microsoft Xbox.
